Popular appliqué motifs like flowers and fruit are imperfect in nature, and all the better for it! This workshop guides students at any level to become comfortable needle-turning and encourages an organic approach without sacrificing craftsmanship. Students will work on sample blocks for the All Seasons Pillows from my book, a design so organic that no pattern-marking is necessary; if time allows, we’ll explore the addition of similarly free-form hand embroidery.
